A classic ripe tuocha from the Menghai Tea Factory (Dayi) based on the original recipe from 2005. This tuocha is characterized by the use of high quality tea leaves, which are moderately fermentated to preserve a fascinating complex flavour. The taste is pure, mellow with a hint of caramel. This is tuocha is a great choice for those who want to experience the original Menghai taste.

This tuocha starts with a bitter note in the first two steeps that quickly transforms into a sweet huigan (after taste). The tea soup is pure and reminds one of black tea. It's texture is thick, but not as thick and earthy as stronger fermented ripe pu erh. There's no bitterness at all starting from the third brew, and the taste is sweet, yet complex. A great choice for those who don't like ripe pu erh that's strongly fermented. This tuocha preserves it's complexity due to controlled, moderate pile fermentation.
