The Bi luo chun green tea is renowned for its full taste and lingering floral aroma. Its name, literally translated as "blue snail spring", is inspired by its delicate spiral shape that resembles a snail house. Sourced direct from its origin: Dong Ting (West Mountain) at Lake Tai.

Bi Luo Chun Tea Region

Our Bi Luo Chun is harvested in the Dong Ting Mountain at Lake Tai. This protected natural reserve is located in the Jiangsu province of China. The perfect climate, soil and precipitation work together to make Dong Ting Mountain an ideal place for growing tea trees. For hundreds of years, local Dong Ting farmers grow tea trees side by side with fruit
trees, giving Bi Luo Chun its famous floral fruity aroma.

Bi Luo Chun Price

The prices of Bi Luo Chun in the market can be confusing. It can rank from very cheap to expensive, mostly depending on the harvesting season, grade of the leaves and whether the tea is purchased through middle men or not. Our Bi Luo Chun is directly harvested from the original region during Early spring, offering you the freshest and fullest flavour you can get. Yet, by sourcing direct from family farms, we're still able to offer you this tea at an affordable price.

How to steep Bi Luo Chun Green Tea?

Because our Bi Luo Chun is very delicate and tender, we recommend to steep at a temperature of 85ºC (185ºF) or even lower.

When you brew this green tea in a large teapot or mug, use 3-4 grams of leaves and let it steep for 3-4 minutes. Alternatively, brew this tea in a traditional Chinese gaiwan. In this case, use 6-8 grams of tea to enjoy up to 12 brews. Apply a brewing time of about 20 seconds. You can slowly increase the brewing time after the 4th steep.

You may adjust the brewing parameters as according to taste. If you find the tea too strong, you may either lower the temperature or shorten the brewing time.

10 Famous Chinese Teas

Depending on which top 10 Chinese teas list you look at, the Bi Luo Chun is often ranked 2nd or 3rd after other famous green teas such as the West Lake Dragon Well or Huangshan Maofeng. For tea drinkers who don't like the beany and nutty flavor of Dragon Well teas or the lightness of Huangshan Maofeng, the fuller grassy flavor of Bi Luo Chun is the perfect alternative. We also often find that Xinyang Maojian tea lovers also appreciate the Bi Luo Chun.

Health Benefits

Bi Luo Chun, like other types of Green Tea, helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, dental cavities, kidney stones, and cancer, while improving bone density and cognitive function. In addition, it boosts metabolism and has significant slimming effects. Its unique aromatic flavor also brings unusual calming effects.MORE INFORMATION
